In March 2008, Capps Bail Bonds was founded by Gene and Sandra Capps. Gene had just retired from the Windham school system (which is the school system inside TDCJ) and Sandra was still working at Emery Worldwide/UPS. After Gene passed from pancreatic cancer in August 2009, Sandra and her son Clint kept the business growing. Not knowing much about the business but with the guidance of Ron Easton of Ace Bail Bonds in Crockett, TX, the Capps were able to succeed in offering the best service Grimes County has known. Capps Bail Bonds has been voted Grimes County Best Bail Bondsman for 9 out of the past 10 years. At Capps Bail Bonds, we believe in going above and beyond to help our clients.
In 2014, Clint decided to expand the business and opened an office in Washington County. In January 2021, we opened another office in Waller County. Today, Capps Bail Bonds continues to provide the best service in Grimes, Washington and Waller counties. We have an excellent reputation with the Sheriff’s Office, Jails and all of the Courts. At Capps Bail Bonds, our service doesn’t just stop once you or your loved one gets released from jail. That is just the beginning. We understand you or your loved ones are caught in a bad situation and we will be there every step of the way. We are always just a phone call away to help make the process as quick and painless as possible. Give us a call today and let us help you.

At Capps Bail Bonds, the release timing after posting a bail bond or an O.R. (own recognizance) release is generally similar. The jail controls the release process, which depends on the number of detainees being processed. We ensure that the bail bond is posted promptly, but we cannot expedite the jail’s procedures. The release timeline is entirely dependent on the jail’s workflow and processing speed.
Collateral is not always required to secure a bail bond with Capps Bail Bonds. The necessity for collateral depends on various factors, including the defendant’s situation, the bond amount, and the perceived risk. In many cases, we can offer flexible options and work with you to find a suitable solution that doesn’t require collateral. Our goal is to make the bail process as accessible and straightforward as possible for our clients.
A bond can be forfeited if the defendant fails to appear for their scheduled court date. Additionally, if the defendant violates any conditions set by the court or the bail bond agreement, the bond may also be forfeited. It’s crucial for the defendant to comply with all court and bond conditions to avoid forfeiture. At Capps Bail Bonds, we provide guidance to ensure our clients understand and adhere to these requirements.
